    Will a B6t 4wd gearbox fit my 1991 4wd gtx?

Hi I've broke my transfer box in my bg gtx and can't find a crown wheel and pinion anywhere or a gearbox but I have found a bf 4wd box will the box fit? Or if not is the transfer box interchangeable? Thanks

No. The BF uses a differen't bolt pattern, axels, driveline, pretty much everything that's important.
Too bad I have AWD and you don't!

if your changing just the transmission, it should work just fine, people use the BG AWD transmission in BF's as an upgrade, so why would it not work the other way around

Yah but we usually swap engines while we're at it. I know a guy with a gtx who kep the b6t and used the bpt box, 2 boltholes don't line up, and there may be some grinding involved but I don't know about that for sure, going the other way.

Yes, you can, but it's not easy. I can send you a writeup if I have your email address.
It's a much weaker tranny. If you broke the BG tranny, it may not be a good idea.

bg chassis Protege 4WD's have the same internals as a BF GTX just in a bg case. a bg GTX/GTR get the "better" parts like gears, center lsd
