exactly, a lot can happen in 24/48 hours. I think the thread should just be closed automatically, stating the reason why, and waiting for the mbr to PM with the updated information/pictures.

I know it's a lot of work for who ever has control over that section, but we don't want people getting ripped off! I remember I purchased some gtr replica hood vents a few years back w/o seeing a picture....and I received 1/3 vents lol.

I'm all for it, because the member will have to contact you to re-open it, and obviously you'll close any duplicate threads if started. Then you can make the call if it can reopen as a GI thread or wait til the proper information is acquired.

By "you" do you mean me personally?! This sounds like it's creating more work for me....

Just assign a mod thats on here a sale title. That way if you want to post a for sale ad you propose it with all pics and necesary info and get it approved basically. So that you cant even post a for sale thread only the mod can post your info for you. Sure it sounds like more work but **** you guys already have to look over a crap ton of these daily anyway. it would save alot of time and headache and probably eliminate possible and viable scams and rippoffs and whatnot.

sorry no I didn't mean you specifically lol, poor choice of wording, sorry. I think Admins or Supermods could do this, since they obviously have more authority and know the people a bit better, or you can assign a mod to the thread. It was just a suggestion

Yes, except if someone actually follows the rules then they still have to wait to have their thread approved even if they are legit. Also, I can see many problems with this idea, one of them is if the person in charge gets backed up or misses some and things don't get posted. This will create a lot of leg work for the person involved.

Well I would fall under this category as an admin but I understand what you are saying.

I personally think to just do away with at GI thread, and have only FS threads. That, or we can create a separate section just for GI threads on GB's or products to be made, and not have a GI for engine parts, etc. If we do this, then we can set it up that you have an additional password to post in that section, or all threads would have to be moderated (aka approved) so they would sit and wait till Ryan or I, or a mod that we delegate approves it.

I personally think if you're just "GI" then you really want to sell it but you're just being lazy about takin pics or whatever. I've beeen guilty of it myself so I'm no angel. GI should be for possable GBs, that I do agree with.

A thought about asking for PayPal fees when selling.

I have been called out for this via PayPal and two other forums I have used to sell things online. I only bring it up because I have seen it more recently here, but according to PayPals rules if you are selling goods and requesting payment via PayPal you are not allowed to ask the purchaser of the goods to pay the extra 3.5% or what ever the fee. According to PayPal the seller is supposed to eat those costs and or include them into their price, as it is part of their service and the receiver of money is supposed to pay the fee. PayPal will cancel accounts for doing so if they find out the seller is requesting the buyer to pay the fees. like I said I have been called out on this as I did not realize that I couldn't. Just thought that if we had something like that in the listing rules we could make people more aware.

                          That is all

What paypal don't know won't hurt them. If you're worried about hem seeing you ask for pp fees hen in your fs threads say "price is xxx.xx plus shipping and other fees". Then when asked about "other fees" keep it in a pm. Those are totally private.

while its good info this also assumes paypal is the default payment option. which it may not be so stating the fee afterwards is only clarifying the terms of sale with a given payment method.

credit cards pull the same on merchants, it is an attempt to disguise their fees from the purchaser so it seems as easy as cash
