My Protege has 4-bolt hubs. I was wondering if a 5-bolt hub from a newer Protege would fit mine. Could someone answer this for me?

the question that always comes up is: is there a reason for the conversion? are you looking to upgrade to disc brakes? are you looking to upgrade to wheels with a specific 5 lug pattern?
the reason being is the cost involved. there are many parts that need to transfer over. to save money you'd have to find the used parts in a junk yard from a Protege5 or Protege sedan with 5 lug.
if you just want rear disc brakes, check out www.protegefaq.net -> Performance Mods -> Brakes. it lists parts needed to convert to 4-lug rear disc brakes. might be cheaper going that route.
i'm not sure about linking to other forums, but one of the canadian forums has a 4-lug to 5-lug member who posted his pics of the install. includes tech notes and parts list
