    1988 GTX- Bellingham

Just a little background first; had a real nice 1991 escort gt back in high school. Had a great time with it then sold it, regret. Graduated from WSU Pullman back in December and got a job over in Bellingham. At the time of my move my 75 911 3.6 conversion was my only car and not being familiar with Bellingham and the wetness I brought it up with me. Shortly after I bought another 91 egt. While looking for a turbo motor I came across this guy!

    Couldn't resist.

Now currently searching for parts and collecting. Looking forward to testing it out this winter and then hopefully doing a bpt swap with bg 4wd suspension and bpt 4wd trans.

Has an upgraded front sway bar, kyb new sr shocks, some sort of lowering springs. And a few other small things. Blast to drive!

    Here's a picture with my winter wheels put on, wheels powder coated bronze;

    The whole fleet

Here are a few pictures of some of the parts I have gotten thus far.

    German hella 550's

mid-80's escort gt front bumper( yet to fit it up but someone else has fit one and it looked good.)

    Eunos roadster momo wheel

    and some stereo equpiment

Also, should be on the list for the polyurethane bushings goup buy and the jdm bumper thread.

Picking up my BPT a week from today and have a guy eventually shipping me some BG 4wd knuckles!

Damn, i'm jealous you got BG knuckles!

Cant wait to see the car in person. Looks super clean, i'm jealous. My GTX started as a basket case that sat under a tree for <2 years and is slowly coming back to something respectable.

If you need someone to show you around town (bars and what-not) let me know! You graduated from WSU so i'm sure you'd drink me under the table =P

Oh by the way, are you going to be getting into autocross or anything? Track days up at mission raceway are like 45 minutes away and my car club (chuckanut sports car club) does autocross down at the port of bellingham every year. Come down and have some fun.

Don't quiet have them yet, his car was wrecked and he is working on getting it taken apart but hopefully I hear from him soon!

As far as my drinking, maybe when I was in my prime but now with my new job I had to cut out all my mid week drinking lol.

Not to sure yet. For now the GTX needs to remain drivable at all times, I may take the 911 to a track day or two. If I keep the escort I'd probably autocross that. Once the GTX gets fully sorted I think Im gonna consider it more.

The car is fairly clean rust wise but it does have some I didnt realize that was a problem with these cars until after I got on here, but coming from 911's and 914's its low rust hahaha.

Scored it on ebay from a guy in japan. I was looking to buy a hub and use a wheel I already had but the whole wheel and hub together were only marginally more than the hub itself!

Scored on what on ebay? Anyway, go Cougs! My oldest son just graduated from WSU in May. He's headed for Boston. Got a job. My youngest is still over in Pullman. I've driven my GT over there several times to visit like on dad's weekend.

I scored the steering wheel on us ebaymoors.

And yes GO COUGS! Congrats to your son aswell. Pullman is a very unique place and depending on where your coming from there are some pretty fun roads to get there.

forgive the noobness but all the 4wd BG stuff is swappable onto the BF? As in all the suspension arms, diff and driveline stuff? i know the trans and BPT are just never heard of people doing all the suspension.

To my understanding from the knuckles out can bolt on with bg struts that have a bf top hat. The diff I understand can bolt on. I don't know about the arms.

I'll take lots of pictures once all my parts get here in a few weeks.

Good weekend. Took the escort gt on it's first big drive since I've owned it. Did well. Used it to haul my new to me bpt!! For the Gtx of course. More details and pics to come tomorrow.
