I was hoping you would chime in. What are you using on your car to get the 2-3 inches? Also what problems are you having with the toyota axles? I've been heavily researching porsche style cv joints in hopes it'll help with the high axle angles.

    I'm buying parts i don't need, With money I don't have, To impress people I don't know.

Im using a coupla grand worth of bilstein and DMS suspender hardware. Toyota inner cv's arent up to the task so I'm going with some fancy stuff from A1CVtech in canada. The porsche stuff prolly works but i don't wanna take any chances with streetbased stuff seeing how we broke 3 miles into stage 1...

Jay, i found these a while back i dont know if they would help any.

On another note do you know if the 4wd strut is longer that the lx/dx protege? Im picking up some 4wd springs and struts but the stuts are junk.i was hoping to use the springs on the struts i have on my car now.

After alot of contemplating. Finally bit the bullet and raised the car. I grabbed the stock springs off of highbody and installed them on the s/r struts he put on the car. That alone was 1.5" height increase. Then i went to lowes and bought 3/8" box steel and 1/8 flat stock and fabbed up some 1.5" strut spacers. The car feels a bit bouncy but i have just over 7" clearance at the subframe cross brace. That is with undersized tires, i just ordered some 27x8.5x14 general grabber at2 tires for it hopefully they will be on this weekend.

Hopefully with the new tires i wont get stuck n the mud again. Atomic has some pics and vids from this past weekend, maybe he'll post them up.

Future plan is to grab a set of strut inserts and coilover springs and make a set of rally style coilovers.

Yeah i had to pull the carpet out this morning and vacuum about a half inch of water off the floor. I give 0 sh*ts about having a carpet so no big deal. Also i brought it through emissins today covered in mud. All the techs were taking pics of it. Took about a hour to get it done, normally it take about 20 minutes lol.
                          So here is the tally,
                          Lifting car= pass
                          Going through emissions=pass
                          Becoming talk of the shop=pass
Getting stuck in the mud hole=fail
                          Buying new mud tires =pass
This project is full of win!

                              They are 14x6 also.
ive been thinking about it i may need to switch to a coilover in the front to keep the tire from hitting the strut. I guess we will see tomorrow when the tires show up
