Alright guys i took some fitment pics today when i did the passenger side front. Here they are,

Coilover on. I used cheap coilovers for now but, i plan to buy new springs when i get a chance.

Here is where all the clearance issues are located

This is how i fixed it

Instead of using rubber undercoat i decided to use spray on bed liner

Tomorrow im going to try to get the back situated. I noticed today that the inner side of the tire is hitting the strut tube. I might try to cut a set of old rotors and make wheel spacers out of them we'll see how it works.

Thanks for all the kind words guy. Im going to try to get as much done today as possible, my wife is going to be induced tomorrow at 530 am. Hopefully i can make some wheel spacers today either out of 1/4" aluminum or the face of old brake rotors. Maybe i can get a quick vid if i finish. Wish me luck.

                      Ok here is another update,
Here is a few pics of the rear struts hitting the tires and the clearance between the trailing arm and the tire.

Obviously i wont be able to drive like this, so after researching homemade wheel spacers on the jeep forums. One of the forum members made a suggestion about using old rotors as spacers, but the idea was shot down the next post. Me being the curious mechanic i decided to try it out.

                      This is about 1/4" thick.

                      With out spacer

                      With spacer

With the spacer on it left enought threads for 5-7 full turns of the lug nut.

                      And now the new clearance

I got to drive it for the first time today, it definitly needs an alignment. All in all it handled very well but now the car feels underpowered. I supercharger might just do the trick lol. I also took it back through the mud for a short trip but because of all the rain we had last week i almost got it stuck again. Sorry no vids but its hard to record your self driving from the out side hopefully next week i can get some time away to play.

Lulz.. so how'd mazda do when they ran themthere paris-dakar proteges anyhow? :-D
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.
