    Lights dim for a second

I was driving home from my parents tonight, and on the new EGT, every once in a while it would like "cough" almost. and in that second, the headlights would like dim for a split second. They wouldn't stay dim tho so it makes me think it's not the alternater. The car has 81k on it, but it has been sitting for about a year, think it might just need to be driven and it might work itself out?

My BF was doing that. Ended up being the alternator. Could be a corroded connection as well.

I can't speak regarding the BGs specifically, but on the older Saabs that I play with, this is almost always indicative of corroded grounds.

Yep clean/inspect all grounds and clean up the alternator connections. Might be easier to start the car and probe the alternator plug to check it's output first tho though, you want it around 14V.

Mine was giving me issues like that during first start up because the pulley where the belt runs was starting to separate, til it eventually sheered off and my belt came off lol.
