Alright, where to start. Plenty of work was done even fixing the bucket of **** issues that come with owning a 20 year old Ford. Lets get to the latter portion first, the "fun" stuff.

Upon jacking the car up by its designated lift point on the engine crossmember i knew something was wrong with where it bolts to the lower Radiator core support in the front. Once I had the pressure released from the bolt it just hung there loose, not to mention the other one had been rusted in and the PO snapped it. So the surgery began, had to cut it open to beat off the nut-serts that were spot welded, here is the finished product after deciding to just hard bolt it to the core support.

Now onto the better fun stuff, getting this bitch stiff finally.

    1. Pierce Motorsports 4 Point front tie brace.
    2. Pierce Motorsports Tubular Lower Control Arms (Heim/Spherical)
    3. FE3-323 Spherical Bushings
    4. Powdercoating by Kevin

Out with the old stamped steel unit, and in with the new!

Close up of the Spherical not mounted to car to give you a better idea.

And here is everything bolted up, Rear LCA pickup point has been converted to full solid with a Spherical unit, and the Front of the control arm was set up to use a heim Joint.

Took it in for the alignment, it was ruined because the control arms added a considerable amount of track width to the car. Something like 2 degrees on both side, damned thing was hunting for every lane on my way down to get it aligned. Swapped the Race wheels on for the time being, I should be getting some decent pictures with everything on, even though theres not much to show, it is after all still an Escort. lol

what were the alignment specs? & if memory serves right the control arms were Mx3 length correct?? if so thats +15mm each side in the front
the rear bushings are proven to increase Castor ~1.5° (doubles factory castor)

        keep with updates!!

Wouldnt have done it any other way, from the firewall forward is a whole nother story. Night and day difference in turn-in efficiency, All I need is a zx2 front sway and I think I may be done with the suspension until I pick up Tubular rear goodies from Jim.

When I took it in all I had them do was adjust toe to Zero, they didnt even measure any other specs, I can tell visually though that it made a hell of a difference. Yeah, Jims arms are MX-3 length, definitely did the trick in widening the track in the front, going to work well im sure. Im so glad there are things like this out there to make this chassis shine, pretty sure I have no one to thank but the folks that are brave (or dumb) enough to develop parts. Major props to Jim and Ryan and helping me take my car to the next level!

Heres a couple snaps from an Impromptu shoot over the weekend.

do you have adjustable upper camber plates??? for daily driving -1 to 2° camber is very sufficient. the additional castor increase negates the need for dramatic camber

I would ask them what the specs were to see how your camber sits currently. always try to match both sides

The K-sports have pillowball top mounts to adjust camber, I just needed it to have a straight alignment since I was going back on the road for work. Next alignment will be a race alignment though. :D

So low that I Bent it real good driving around Las Vegas, hit one of those steel plates they use to cover holes in the road. Fubared it good.

Went on a nice leisurely desert drive on my day off last weekend, car tried to Vaporlock on me, so Ive spent the last few nights after work replacing the fuel pump, filter, and doing full fluid flushes/changes, running in tip top shape now! Here are pics from the desert drive!

Also, I got sick and tired of listening to the stock blown speakers, and dealing with the incorrectly wired 10 dollar VR3 deck, CD player doesnt even work! Picked up an Alpine Stereo Deck and some upgraded speakers Rockford Fosgate external tweeter speakers for the front, and Polk speakers cant wait for a better sound blasting from this car!

Without a doubt, Ive just always had trouble concentrating on upgrading the sound system. haha

Spent my day off yesterday cleaning/working on the car. NRG Quick Release for the Momo wheel setup, got rid of the front plate bezel, and waxed the hell out of the front end to bring it back to life some more. Quick buff job on the headlights also.

                        Pictures!

I dont want to mess with the front end unless I am getting some overseas goods to dress it up Laser Style. :D

I want this! But with a colormatched bumper. I might just use a Tracer bumper, not sure yet.
