I got an assortment of random stuff today.

I don't know why they ship these like this, I hurt myself taking it off to check to make sure it was the right size.

Don't be mad you don't have awesome replacement handles.

    Dat texture

Also this is how my far too large rear bushings came out.

They'll probably actually be better than the proper sized ones. Or be loud as hell. Or both.

do not use the supplied poly grease with those bushings. use normal grease or antisieze.

I wouldn't use anti-seize either. It turned into a substance like damp dirt and you could rub it off with your finger and it didn't act like grease anymore. I find the silicone brake caliper grease to be far better.

I use Lithium/5% Moly grease for bushings and pretty much any other grease need aside from packing CV's and brakes.

It's funny on the poly packages they say "IMPERVIOUS TO GAS, OIL, AND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS" and then people on the internet are dead set on using overpriced grease because it'll melt the bushings instantly if they don't.

I think I'm going to teflon tape the rear bar as it has an absurd amount of wear marks where it mounts to the chassis especially since the new bushings will be gripping additional area that has zero wear.

Rolled my fenders today because I finally broke down and bought a fender roller.

The current tires were getting chewed up a bit too much and for the price a shop wanted here it was the best course of action buying my own.

It's hard as hell taking pictures under the fender

The rears came out bretty gud. Worst part of those were the area by the door, it's a bit too thick and the wheel well is a bit to close to it to get any good range of motion. I'll have to hammer it down if it bothers me.

The fronts were a mixed bag, the first one I did I flared it out a bit to much in my opinion. I can't even take a picture of its flare because it's not noticeable untill you look under the arch and the wheel well trim is 1/4 inch away.

The passenger which I did second came out great. The lip I curved actually holds the well trim firmly.

                Once again 10/10 car photography.

And I threw on my over sized sway bar bushings last week sometime. Managed to do them with out lifting the car at all, I wouldn't recommend doing it that way

There was a bit more of a gap than I'd like but that's outside the bracket so I'm not really concerned with it. I got my money back on them so if they **** the bed I'll try getting proper ones again.

What did you do to your BG(part 8)

Went to the junkyard to grab a few items today and got some stuff I wasn't looking for. Found a set of 1st gen probe ground control coilovers, F2 G series trans/axles, escort air dam, and blower motor wiring pigtail since mine is melted.

I also found a perfect condition 03 ZX2 that has a perfect front bumper, a millenia S with perfect chrome rims and decent tires but I ran out of time for that and will go back tomorrow after work for that.

I checked and they don't have any mx3's right now.

I want to use the rear probe springs for the wagon since they are 250lb, but then idk if anyone will want to buy a coilover set with a 375lb front and 200lb rear spring set.

Since I can't do any "work" at work due to being on goofballs I got to call around to most of the alignment shops on island looking for the requirements of
                          a: okay with lowered cars
b: allow me to be in the car while it's being done
c: more stringent toe variation than specification

This removed most of the shops unsurprisingly, price then removed the remaining few because I'm not going to pay ~200 for what is essentially a quick camber equalization and an hour at most of toe adjustments.

So off to the home depot

I already have two tape measure but had those been needed as well this would be about $30. I'm not sure if I'm going to slot the steel plates to allow the tape measure to slide into them and hold better. It'll depend on how much they slip the day of.

Also pulled my fuel pump to check how the filter looked as I've never removed it since owning the car.
In tank filter looked pretty rough but I was surprised how nice the fuel tank itself looked.

This has to be the nicest looking tank I've had on any of my cars and it's about median age of them all.

Eh not even the FSM's require ballast while aligning. It is unfortunate because most cars are driven with only one occupant most of the time.

If I can't find a willing body on alignment day I'm just going to throw in a sea-bag with all my gear that's about 130#. It's better than nothing.

That's exactly the problem I had which is why I do my own alignments. I use the quick trik alignment system and 2 aluminum plates with bearing grease between them for each wheel.
