Eh that might of been the 80mph rpm to be honest. I remember I was annoyed as hell on my 85mph 90+decible trip up the eastern sea board this summer though.

Got around and replaced the driver side outer tie rod end on the daily. It drives a lot better now. Also changed the oil to standard 10w30 in the hopes the oil consumption will stop. Then last night changed the rear brake pads. I plan to get it aligned today.

I still can't figure out what the idle problem is. I've changed the intake couplers with silicone and T-clamps. I need to do a pressure test I guess but don't have the proper equipment.

This morning i looked under the hood and pondered very hard about what it'd take to stuff an E154F in there.

When you say the adapter do you mean the oil cooler and it's related nut?

Definitely a sawzall, welder, etc. for mounting the rear end, redoing the exhaust system, etc...

The more i look at it the less i think the steering rack actually has to be moved though.

I guess Brandon has one of these transmissions lying around, I'm hoping he'll let me borrow it this spring so i can try test fitting it while the car is apart. I'm not ready to break out the sawzall yet but i would like to test fit some stuff and start collecting parts if i decide it's feasible...

I think he had to shave the transfer case and it still didn't really fit or some **** like that, idk

we were going to put it in the wagon and then didn't bother because all that power through a garbage G-series is way funnier

Yeah the transfer case and oil pan do have to be modified to allow the BP to bolt up, not terribly worried about that right meow.

What i want to do is just test fit the transmission into my car with no motor attached. My 3 existing trans mounts will bolt to the AWD trans, then i can raise it up into place and see how much clearancing will have to be done.

Wow... i had no idea that was an oil cooler.. But yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about

Got the car in the garage, and prepping for some work. Managed to do this to the Kia VC a few weeks ago. figured i'd Powder coat it and be the 1 aesthetic thing.. but... unless the money is there, it won't happen.. just a waste right now.
