Interesting location of the flex pipe on the downpipe.

Is the turbo brace anywhere not visible like the gear box?

Using Linux for anything serious besides server or software dev is like using a tin can and a string for telecommunications.

Here's how mine and my BG's day started... well I had a little help on this one from a jackass in a Yukon.

He rolled the stop sign at the end of my block and I t-boned him in the rear passenger door and tire. He swears up and down I didn't have my headlights on... on a pitch black street in the rain. All the damage except for the bumper cover is above the rails from what I can see. I can't dig into it until I find out if dude's insurance is going to send an adjuster out, doesn't sound very likely but I don't want to have it all blown apart and then some guy come knocking and deny my claim. Gonna be stuck pulling 10mpg in my truck to work and back for a while I guess, good thing gas has gotten cheap.

I was looking for a low profile 90 degree 3" downpipe and this is what I found on the internet. No brace, I might make something to attach to the side of the frame rail since it's right there. It's got solid mounts so I don't expect anything to move much anyway, plus from the other builds I've seen I didn't see a brace.

Insurance claims are pointless after a certain age. They will most likely total it out. Just get a new hood, fender, and headlight. Pound the thin metal brackets back into shape, or just make new ones from scratch.

It's gonna be a little more involved than a hood and fender, the whole core support is pushed back to the front of the head, radiator and fan are mashed etc... Other problem is that these cars are not very common around here and our junkyards are expensive as hell (a hood and a fender would exceed what I purchased the car for). If they don't update me by the time I get home tomorrow I'm just going to start fixing it.

A new core support and frame pull will be at least 1500.00. Not being negative but I can't believe that frame rail was not hurt...hope not though. I have seen less damage than that with the rail being pushed back enough to warrant a frame pull. Get it to an alignment shop first before you start throwing money at it. That will be a cheap 100.00 spent.

Hey JNKW, they are plentiful near me and I have a spare hood and front fenders (all new) in my storage unit...

                  Sorry about the accident.

I'm gonna pull the airbox and stuff out tomorrow so I can take a good look at it, the frame leg/bumper went under the truck I hit but he was moving to my right as I went under (that's what pulled the bumper cover off). I agree that it very well may be tweaked, to the extent it affects the drivability of the car I don't know cause I putted it back down the block at 10mph and stuffed it in my side yard. Still in State Farm's hands at the moment, I can cobble it together and get it mobile I'm pretty sure just with what I have on hand in the garage and parts shed, it may not be pretty or correct but I can make it drive.

EDIT: Got to dig into it this morning, she's done for. Driver's frame leg is shoved over 5-6 inches and kinked all the way up under the battery (battery used to be 1/2" from the strut, had an easy inch between them and it didn't move on the tray), passenger side is out at least 2". Looks like I'll have a good running BP/5 speed for sale here soon.

Here is the most critical part mounted, I'm not worried about the rest of it.

Thanks. Progress is slow, but should be worth the patience.

I started with the curve neck, swapped to mx3 brake system to fit the G4. I really didn't notice a difference until after about 5000rpm, it pulled a little better.

Wow, that is a seriously clean intercooler install, love it. You might even be able to fit a small AGM battery underneath it, mounted on its side.
