The person who assembled my 4seasons rebuilt A/C compressor that has been installed for less than a year did not feel the need to attached the field coil proper to the compressor. It worked it's way loose and ended up spinning in place until it severed its wiring and blew the AC relay.

I of course just thought it was just a faulty coil until I pulled the pully off and was greeted with this image

This is verbatim how it looked once I popped the AC clutch and pulley assembly off. The screws more resemble rivets than screws, two of three screw bores needed to be re-tapped and the coil mounting points are visibly routed out.

My spare non-ruined by incompetence coil for comparison, you can tell which is which by it having it's wiring not ripped of and not being undersized.

I've sent them the most irate complaint email I've ever pinned. And the worst part is there is no alternative rebuilder to buy from in this particular area. The higher tier parts stores stock this exact one and the lower probably stock the rejects from this factory that are probably assembled with refrigerator magnets and spit.

I also tweaked my front end alignment again to as close to 0 toe I can get. Feels better overall on my shake down drive. See how she takes the off ramps at speed tomorrow.

Also if you get the thick moog inner tie rods I'd recommend painting them before installing.

    They're two-three years old.

Looks like the windshield seal is leaking on the BG, it's got a decent amount of small spider cracks so I'll probably just replace it in the summer.

Tried installing locking collars on the rear sway and I'm going to have to take a different approach as it's hitting the sub-frame.

is there any car that has a similar rear window shape to the ZX2? I want a roof spoiler for this thing and I can't think of anything that would come close to fitting...

Finally had time to work on the toys. Got the bp out of the mx3. Couldn't get the shifter assembly disassembled so it all came out together. Also both axles still installed but I think one came apart inside the boot. Looks like some things need freshening up, alt is seized. Pulleys are ugly. Etc. Stripped the interior bits and gauges out and then parked it outside. Pulled the new pig in. Hopefully I can get more time to work on stuff. Pics.

I test-fit a front lip on the ZX2. it's like 6 inches too short on the sides, which sucks because it fits perfectly otherwise. gonna modify it to make it more of a chin spoiler thing, and if I **** it up, it was only $45 so who cares

Isnt pvc plastic? This is a small metal pipe welded to the outlet flange.

Fixed up my loose window seal.

                          Came out better than expected.

Window-welded the shifter while I had a fresh tube. I ended up filling the voids after the first pass.

installed new speakers front and rear (some Kicker jawns I picked up as a set on eBay) and did the first test-fit of the GV front lip. it's... okay. gonna take it back off tomorrow and see if I can get it to look a little less janky.
