I replaced the driver's side axle on the Protege and removed the driver's door panel and lock cylinder. I was hoping that I could swap in the spare MX-3 lock set that I have, but the door lock cylinders are made differently. I guess I'm just going to have to suck it up and pick up a junkyard set or have a key made for the old ones from the Protege.

EGT almost killed me. Been having loose battery terminal problems lately and it was no surprise when it didnt start when I dropped my son off at school. Now my cars starter is on a hidden switch that I by accident left ON, popped the hood to play with the terminal and having no E-brake the car was still in gear. Sooo starter switch on, car in gear, hood popped with me in front of it and i touch the terminal and BAM it starts up and starts moving down the road lol lucky idk how I jumped in it before it ran me over or hit something.

Washed it yesterday,in 17* weather..big mistake lol. Got home, opened the door and it was frozen shut, and the inside handle stayed sticking out so the door wouldnt latch shut. Ended up pulling the door panel, getting it to the closed position and running the heat with the panel off to thaw out the latch mechanism lol.

Looks like I'm going to need to get an MX3... Just do not have enough room for the shaft.

The other option is building a custom core support and possibly crossmember, going with a custom radiator, and some hood pins. But I do have very limited space with the bugeye grille. The rad would have to be narrow enough to fit between the fogs, and thick enough to cool properly, and I would have to do aluminum sheet with the tubular core support to duct air properly through the radiator.

damn yea, that is tight would have been a sick setup tho! If you were able to fit the rad infront of the support would you gain enough room to fit the SC shaft?

Snap, forgot about that Bo. Heck yeah! Let me get some macro pics for you today.

Jack, I am not giving up yet. Turns out this is not an MP62 supercharger however. It's an MP90. 90 CI per revolution instead of 62 CI. That would explain how RR Racing was able to make 400WHP with this setup. I got a tiny pulley and a large one with the kit, I'm sure the tiny one was the 400 hp pulley, so I am going to try the large one first.

My thoughts are a high end 3 core Civic radiator, centered in front of the CS, where the hood latch is and between the fogs. Either that or a custom built exchanger that will fit my exact dimensions. And I might be able to modify the existing core support to make it all work, but I think that'll depend on a few other clearance concerns.

And lastly, I got another car today! A black AWD widebody Fiesta, with green volk TE37's, 3 different front and rear sway bars, fully adjustable suspension, and quite a few other goodies! More on that later.

Nope. However I do have one in Forza.

This one is real. I can use real tools on it, and touch it with my own two hands. It's powered by a Velineon 380 brushless motor, fully compatible with 2s and 3s Lithium Polymer batteries, and with the optional pinion gear, and Traxxas PN's 3063, and 2925 it can push 50+MPH without any other upgrades, and I've added several upgrades to it today already.

That's right, it's the 1:16 scale Traxxas Ken Block Gymkhana Fiesta! And it's badass. Upgrades are hella cheap compared to a real car! I paid $8 for a set 4 wheels and tires?! I have big plans for it so far, and for less than what I have into the wheels on the wagon alone, this thing will probably 1/4 mile faster than the wagon when they're both finished.

that was my original guess but the swaybars threw me off, I didn't know they made them for R/C cars

Put my 2nd gen VC in some paint thinner over night to clean the gunk out of it. Ordered a Miata Roadster Quattro viton disty o-ring and a new valve cover gasket. Should take care of the oil leak. Now to decide what color to paint the VC tomorrow.
