I guess I'm going to need struts too. My GAB adjustables are done for. well, the R/F corner is and it's not like I can get them at all much less individually. Probably gonna get some GR2s.

If I'm not mistaken they are basically KYB AGX's re-branded and the previous owner tried to get them rebuilt and couldn't.

Are the koni's able to handle a decent amount of abuse? Adjustable?

I love my Koni Reds. They are 4 way adjustable and can only be adjusted out of the car. I have run them for more than 5 years on my RS (on the road) and never had an issue with them.

They are super easy to install as well. as long as you have a hacksaw or side grinder and a drill it is easy. You drill like 1/2" hole in the bottom and cut the welds off of the top and they slide in and bolt down. they are also completely rebuildable.

Shoot, now I am torn. I was considering getting a set of Ksports but I have always loved the koni's I've had on my other cars. I may need to start a new thread but Im now debating koni's with a ground control coil over setup. Do you have an opinion or expierence on how they may hold up running in a lowered configuration?

From what I remember is that they are shorter than OE making them better for being lowered and the valving works in either direction, without a spring they actually pull downward. I ran them with Eibach pros for like 4 years. I haven't been able to drive on them yet with my GC's and H&R preloads. But my ride height is just over the tire so I am not slammed, more like a 2" drop from factory. I am running AWD Protege rear struts, which if i remember were a little taller than my MX struts were.

That's what I'm thinking. I want to switch to full coilovers anyway. Nothing wrong with my SR/Eibach setup besides it get choppy when there's passengers in the car. Discontinued part = $$$$ right? lol
