    Sup guys

The names Carl aka REX-FE3 i live in the lovely Cape Town, South Africa where we have loads of Mazda's driving around and some very nice 323s etc fitted with the awesome FE3 engine.

Well i dont own a Protege, 323, MX-3, escort, tracer etc but i do own a Mazda which i imported from Japan about almost 2 years ago. Its a 1992 Mazda RX7 efini Type R

    the mighty 13B rotary

Well i drove it for about 7 months and then it decided to give me probs, i managed to fix it up but then a month down the line it started with its funny business again.... i couldn't maintain it anymore as it become expensive.....

Welcome! FE3-323 is having some problems with his FE3 swap. Maybe you could be of assistance.

Nice RX-7, too, by the way

            @ jitb36, yes buddy...

Basically we kept everything in the rx7 and rx8 just obviously swapped the engines and changed moutings, bellhousing and had to make up an adapter plate, oh and custom sump

The fe3 bolts onto both of our gearboxes. the only major thing with the rx8 is he had to cut part of his firewall as u can see in the picture and remove his heater box

with mine, my gearbox was sitting perfect. The engine just sits abit high in the rx7 but thats no biggy

@ bogaut, to me mazda had to do something like this, because there are too much probs and hassles with rotaries...

I say stick with the fe3 more reliable and way cheaper to maintain buddy, although there is nothing better than a rotary sound
