ordered it a cheap T25 manifold. semi-local bro is gonna hook me up with the T25 **** off his car, once I get that I can order the rest.

gonna run without a BOV til my Bee*Rs are done being restored so I can make sweet chirping noises.

            Nice Matt!

I blew my aero budget for the zx2 on this: (went out for Aero, came home with an Arrow Kart w/Leopard 125cc)

Totalllllllly worth the $3700! I ran it today, and it's so much nicer than the old Kart! Same engine, with way better chassis (both brand new minus 40 laps and some storage time). It was odd recognizing the powerband but being able to push so much harder. No video, left in a hurry and figured I'd be tuning most of the day, which was the case. Got it running perfect from 8,000-13,000rpm, needs more adjustment under 8,000. Also need to gear it to probably 7.5:1 instead of this 7:1 nonsense. Should be able to hit 14K on this track, and I was only at 13 tops. It'll go to 17,000, but stops pulling hard at 14,200.

As far as the ZX2 goes; guess I'll be doing pikes peak without aero for the first year... might build for time attack 2, instead of time attack 1. That would change some other plans, so we'll see.

test-mounted the boost gauge today, hoping that I can troll some rotary nerds with it. also just ordered a pink heart tsurikawa to use for a grab handle.

intercooler and piping should be there tomorrow, gonna start pulling the car apart to test-fit **** while I'm there.

haha you can buy new replacement R-pack lips from Mazda tho (I don't know why you would when Garage Vary is a thing that exists, but)

that's what I did when I bought mine, since the lip was like 99% gone/destroyed when I got the car

started tearing the 240 apart. new manifold came with bolts that do not fit instead of the studs I needed to mount the turbo, so that's nice. apparently I'm gonna have to put the manifold in and then bolt the turbo up, which seems like it'll be a pain in the dick. not super thrilled about that. also gotta fix my air compressor so I can cut up the bumper reinforcement to clear the intercooler, which is entirely too big for a T25.

                            cars are stupid.

                                HOW DO TARBO WORK?

as far as I can tell, the manifold and turbo need to go in the car separately (because the manifold barely clears the brake lines on the master on the way in) except it is then impossible to tighten the nuts holding the turbo to the manifold. gonna pull it out again and put it on my spare motor to mock stuff up (still haven't figured out how to run the drain line) but I'm thinking maybe I have to take the o2 housing off and put that on once the other **** is in the car. this **** is so dumb.
