What are you running for additional steering angle?

I've almost gotten the coupe on the road legally. I've lined out the suspension budget for the next few months and it seems dooable as well. Still need to relocate the battery though as held on by a bungee cored and a piece of cardboard above the window washer bottle is not a happy place for it.

Also got the digital hud working, well except for the back-light. I probably blew some fuse or trace somewhere.

Can't drive at night either way so no bother.

Using Linux for anything serious besides server or software dev is like using a tin can and a string for telecommunications.

      PBM spacers.

what are you planning for a suspension setup? also real talk I did the same thing with the battery for the longest time haha, finally made a tray for it a few months back.

I'm glad this thing at least looks sort of cool:

-replaced the starter with one I had lying around still (that I think originally came from engine #3?)
-found the exhaust leak causing me to be down on boost- the manifold-to-turbo stud closest to the BMC sheared off at some point Sunday. hoping I can pull it out the top and thread the new one in from the bottom, because pulling the turbo off is annoying.

I would take out the spark plugs and spray some WD-40 down in the cylinders to keep rust from forming on the walls. Usually you only have to do this is cylinders are exposed, but since you don't know when you will see it again, it might not hurt.

Also, if you're going to be storing it for awhile (several years), drain the oil and the transmission fluid. This is a strong recommendation for classic cars, but also applies to most if not all.

IIRC the oil gets gets moisture and becomes acidic when its just sitting or something to that effect.

Yeah, if the fluid is sitting for a long time, it starts to break down. It might not be too much of an issue with good fluid and the fact that the transmissions are aluminum, but it will start to impregnate itself into the metal. And the fact that our blocks are cast iron, I would want to drain it. Plus, along with draining those fluids, do the coolant too and then you won't have to worry about the freeze plugs in the winter time.

Like mentioned, it depends on how long "storing it for awhile" truly means.

For deployments I figured out draining the coolant and leaving the oils was the best course of action for older cars. Guys with other **** boxes would drain everything and either forget on start up or their **** would leak after refilling.

For the short term time we're talking about, it really doesn't matter. I'd probably just disconnect the battery then change the fluids if i felt like it in spring. Or not.
