I was planning to use this: http://949racing.com/skunk2-throttle-body-miata.aspx I havent really looked into it, but it's supposed to be direct oem replacement for the miata. So iac shouldn't be a problem? What are your thoughts? Other than that, I was going to order a 4wire bullfrog TB.

Personally iac isn't a concern for me. I won't be driving this car except to and from competitions/shows, at said competitions and the occasional sunday drive.Ian Boyd- Bellingham, WA (click vehicle to view)

Interesting. Are you using a 3" charge pipe? My IC piping is all 2.5 and I'm not sure if going bigger than 2.5 at the TB will make much difference. I'm also worried that using 3 IC pipe on my (soon to be) 2.0 displacement might hurt spool time, throttle response, etc. Of course, none of this is proven. It's only my own speculation. So I'm definitely interested in any information to the contrary. Before you criticize someone, first try walking a mile in their shoes. 70mm is 2.75 inches and 65mm is 2.55 inches. I am and will be running 2.5" charge piping. What I gathered online is that your throttle body ideally should be as large or slightly larger than the charge piping. I agree that 3" is probably too large.Ian Boyd- Bellingham, WA (click vehicle to view)

This is not scientific just what I've gathered on different forums. That being said people have made big power on stockish throtle bodies.Ian Boyd- Bellingham, WA (click vehicle to view)

Ok, time for more discussion.
I've been trying to get a list of npt fitting sizes to ferdi.
I need some one to accurately measure the I.d. Of the brake booster nipple. Please!
Also, recommendations for universal iac setups would be nice.
I've found this:
And this
The second one there looks like it needs to be bolted to the body of the manifold or welded. I'd prefer to not have it bolted as it would likely be a source of failure, and welding would take more of ferdi's time and my dollars lol. So the first looks best but I am always open to hear other suggestions.
Fittings I have pretty much picked out are as follows:
Bov reference: 1/8" npt
Map sensor reference:1/8" npt
Boost gauge reference: 1/8" npt
Fpr reference: 1/8" npt
Brake booster port: tbd
Iac: tbd
I feel like that is alot of ports but idk. Lets collect some feedbackIan Boyd- Bellingham, WA (click vehicle to view)

Just a friendly bump to show that I haven't forgotten about this and am still interested. I know Ferdi's a busy man, and I'm not in any particular hurry to get this going. But I do have some funds set aside for it.Before you criticize someone, first try walking a mile in their shoes. Because then you'll be a mile away, and you'll have their shoes...

I probably think about this project a couple times a month but haven't done anything about it in awhile. I apologize Ferdi.
Last I recall I had gotten a mustang throttle body and mock up bp4w head casting out to ferdi. I still owe him info on vacuum port number and sizes. If there is more I am finally starting to be able to work on my cars again so I can hopefully get this wrapped up for ferdi soon.Ian Boyd- Bellingham, WA (click vehicle to view)
