Pashka, the oem awd rear subframe is not a direct bolt on to the 2wd chassis and vice versa. So the subframe mounts have to be built specifically for the chassis you want to use. Maybe this will clear up some confusion?
Before you criticize someone, first try walking a mile in their shoes. Because then you'll be a mile away, and you'll have their shoes...

Also if I'm not mistaken, the rear AWD BF subframe.... Not the links, just the subframe itself.... Is the same as a BG AWD subframe

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Close enough to the same that I would say the same. Minor differences but not functional ones.

        Kaleo is correct.

Wow. So the mounting holes for the subframe are different that is what I am hearing correct? I figured lateral links knuckle assembly etc etc would be different but the mounting to? That's odd why would the put the chassis under the same code then? So is it the BG awd has the total mounting set-up as the BF? If there is a sticky somewhere on this please point me in the right direction. Don't want to be trying to give people wrong information.

Completely different. The floor of the cars are significantly different. There are Factory service manuals out there that detail everything. Bg awd and Bf awd are similar in their subframes. The bf fwd may also be very similar to the bg fwd subframe.

The bg code is actually an abbreviation of the complete chassies code. For instance the gtr chassies code is BG8Z and the gtx sedan is BG8R. There are many others too.

Hey guys-just checking in again! I had about 12 weeks of racecar builds that we knocked out in 6 or so...I've got a couple of weeks free to work on these---going to try an finish a couple units---they're mostly all done except the mounting legs/swaybar mounts...I should have Ian's 4WD unit/legs on pretty quick and then we can figure out swaybar options for folks..

So where exactly are things on the all wheel drive units? I've sort of lost track.

All the units---both 2WD and AWD are done except for the legs/mounting points. Ian called me over the weekend and is sending back the original piece---I think I'm going to grab an oem unit as well and re-jig it with the design/mounting point change to be safe. Your particular unit has to have the pivots redone as you wanted to be different (!) and have oem mounting lateral arms...

Ok, wondered when I'd see you pop in. We modified your unit and got it lined up well. I think I'm going to take it out to the 2WD chassis out back and hold it up there for reference before I send it off. That and I'll see if I can get it powdercoated again for you.

Hey in case Ian's gone for work or something does anyone else have access to an OEM 4WD rear subframe? I'll gladly pay shipping both ways to "borrow" it for a bit! My window here is going away as I've got a ton of motorsports stuff coming up soon...
