Also Jim, it sounds as though there is more interest in the trailing/toe/lateral arms that we talked about. Everybody should be chiming in soon with their respective needs.

Just so it's written down here; as we discussed on the phone, Jim, I am planning OE trailing arms, and your lateral arms.
The trailing arms don't affect the subframe in anyway, so those can be worked out later.

Cool---I think I'm just going to make all the inner pivot's 1/2" for the rodends---I should be able to drill them out to 14mm when needed.

jim what wall thickness will you use then for the inner pivots? and wouldn't a 9/16" rod end be better suited???

in the event one of us would want to jump back & forth between OEM & your arms. drilling them out would make this a bit sloppy with 1/2"

The inner's are 3/4 x .120 which makes a nice 1/2" hole---if some one wants to run the stock arms then it needs to be punched out to the 14mm---they can still switch to my rodend arms, but would require spacers to 14mm rather than the normal 1/2" misalignments we use/which are better/cost effective/easily gotten. The 9/16" would be pushing it I think---the longevity would be the question...

pardon my ignorance, but will these subframes only work with gt4 rear diffs, or will it still accept the oem 4wd diff.

That's a good question to ask---they're only for the GT4 diff---the stock diff has much different mounting points.

Is there a rod end that has a 9/16" hole? That's 14.3 mm, which might be too much play, I don't know.

Yes, you can reduce the 3/4" to 3/8"/7/16"/1/2"/and 9/16", but I think your right it would be a bit sloppy for what we're trying to do.

a 9/16" misalignment would be fine. .3mm is equal to a good coating of grease lol. you won't notice the play.

Hey guys---just checking in. This week we cut the inner pivot sleeves, started making cups for the chassis mounts and started on the dimpled plates for the bottom of the piece. We'll locate a oil drain plug hole in it if we can. I know the size of the bolt that bolts the subframe into the escort chassis (the 4 bolts that literally bolt the subframe in)---I don't have one of the GTX chassis---and the hole looked larger than the BG's---can anyone check the size of that bolt---I'm going to over size it anyways, but don't want to go too big-thanks!

Is it a bolt or stud? If someone can get a picture or diagram pointing out the specific one I'd have no problem getting the measurements
