Always stoked to see progress in here! Don't forget about my control arms we talked about, not sure if you still had those up your sleeve to be ready when these subframes are.

Absolutely---haven't forgot! Finished up the welding today and will shoot pics in the morning and send it off---mainly interested to see the clearance above the tubes on the AWD units...

Here's an AWD unit vs the oem 2wd unit---the inner pivots are actually pretty close together in height---the awd has the pivots sitting further away from the frame/closer to the ground for a taller rideheight I'd bet...Not sure this particular unit will make it into the group buy just yet, but it'll work great for a mock up pc...went with larger cups which will give us more room to align/get a socket in there...I'll send it off tomorrow to Ian to have a look at some clearances...Oh so far we're at 16lbs---vs the 50lb+ OEM unit!Click image for larger version

Would you happen to have anything to share, Jim?

Maybe probably not, I received the prototype 4wd version of the rear subframe. Damn near simultaneously I hurt myself in a friendly game of basket ball. Kinda been sitting on it since, hoping to feel better. Found out last week I broke my tibia vertically and have a blood clot in my leg. Needless to say I won't be getting on with the test fitting anytime real soon.

Jim I will contact you privately regarding that whole deal.

Now for the good stuff. PICTURESSSS!! This thing is solid. I feel like I could use this piece as a jackstand.

I'm so very sorry Ian---heal quick---in the meantime is there anyone else that can "easily" test fit this piece if I have it sent to them? Want to just verify spacing and clearance's...

This is probably a good place to post this question. I'm gonna be buying one of these rear subframes for my GTR. Does anyone know whether or not this will work on a GTR? Does the subframe have the exact same mounting points/lateral link attachment points as a normal 4wd protégé?

                            Thanks!
