You can make one, there was a right up around somewhere, but where i dont know. I might give it a go as ive got 2 spare gearshift mechanisms lying around, it seems pretty simple, if you got a welder that is.
Trust me, big improvement. I have it installed in my car. Only issue, is you cant continuously slam the gears real hard. After 5 years of rough driving, my shifter snapped at the knob. But for $10, and if its tough enough to last my driving for 5 years, its easily worth it.

Aw yeah, thank you so much! I was pulling my hair out trying to find one or plans.

So that one above is wrong for sure. Not a huge loss for $9 I will find someone with a Civic and give it to them.
I did take the stock shifter and cut three inches from the upper section and add around 1/4" to the lower section. Got a body guy to weld it nice and clean for me. Shifts like a dream and the throw is considerably shorter maybe around 40% I think.
I forgot to take pictures but I will at least take some of the finished product once I track down the right bushings for the thing and replace them.

No idea, the plastic dish and spacer rings weren't even close to fitting around the bottom part with the bushings in it. Also the bushings that came with the thing were way too narrow to fit the bolt through underneath. Maybe a different era civic or something?
No worries either way the end result is great. I did use the measurements from the aftermarket one to set the pitch.
Also if anybody knows where to score a bushing kit for the dang thing I can't find one anywhere.

Well damn dude, sorry to hear. That's the exact one I replaced with, with no issues, works great!
Glad you got yours modified to work for you though. Feels lots better doesn't it?
Also, if your looking at the bushings for the shift/stabalizer linkage at the transmission, find one for an mx3, it does fit the same. This I guarantee.
IIRC to get the civic shifter to work you need to cut one of the bushings (around the ball) thinner and put some washers as spacers between the lower bearing and the linkage. Also replace the bottom bolt with a different one.

Haha, the funny part was, I snapped my shift knob off last year. ordered a replacement from ebay and it popped right in. I forgot you modified this one mike, Sorry OP, my mistake on that one. Send me the bill for damages. :D
