Close to 10", cryogenic rotors are hard to warp, can take much more abuse then typical cast rotors. For the extra $10-$15 a rotor (rockauto) it's worth it. I can't comment on first impressions from this upgrade, because I'm taking the transmission out as well to upgrade 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears with MFactory gearset http://store.teammfactory.com/3-6-pr...amp-0-731-5th/

Haven't been on in a while, but wanted to provide an update. Trans is fully built now. Car pulls hard and gracefully. Currently upgrading the injectors I have, which are 550cc Nissan sidefeed injectors that are flowmatched, mounted into modified fuel rails to accept them, and made my own harness to connect them to. I was pushing over 110% duty cycle recording 14+ afr wot with the current 290cc injectors so those were severely maxed out, which means I was pushing over 300whp off the 9psi wastegate spring (no boost controller yet). I have it set to 12.0 afr wot so this upgrade is a must.

Don't know yet, waiting on some misc fuel parts, plus it's 10 degrees out and my tires are inside my house staying warm.

Wonderful! I have plenty of room for more boost if needed. I think I'll stop at 12psi in fear of breaking the stock connecting rods.

Megasquirt PNP 2 for the KL engine. Added coilpack and launch control to the option ports. Absolute terror over the summer on just 9psi. Added a manual boost controller just recently and will be tuning again in the spring.

                      Smart choice.
How much timing you have at 12psi?
Do you have easy access to methonal?

For now I'm leaving it at 26 near the top end. E85 is easy access around me, there is also 105ish race gas up the street from me but not cheap, and there is a gas station about 20 minutes north of me selling 0% Ethanol 93 Octane. I haven't run into any detonation at 9psi at 26 degrees, so maybe 12psi might not either, but I bought Torco Accelerator octane additive just in case. Depending on how things go traction-wise on 12psi I may have to play with ignition timing in the mid rpms to reduce power or replace the manual boost controller with an electric one and program it. I can tell you this, even at 9psi 1st gear is completely useless, even with R compound tires. I can't even launch this off idle without lighting up the tires and I got LSD and extensive suspension work, 2nd gear your playing tug-of-war with the steering wheel until you hit about 70mph, then it's more manageable to drive above that. It's probably better to have a 4cyl with no power on the low/mid-end for launching purposes only. If I could do this all over again I would probably try a BP build instead. BTW the car is now plastidipped red, no more two tone. I also had to add a rear firewall so I can pass tech at the drag strip.

Fuel cell mounted in the trunk require a metal firewall with at least a .040" thickness to separate the driver compartment. Also had to make bozo mechanical release handles to tape on the outside of my doors because I have shaved handles (no handles), but these can be tucked into the door panel when not at the track.

Great to see after 6 years someone getting solid use out of them mfactory gears. I still have them in the box.
What are the specs on your turbo

It's a knockoff GT3582 (ebay), .82 a/r turbine, .70 a/r compressor, 4" inlet, 2.5" outlet, 3" vband, T3 flange. Downpipe and exhaust after it all custom, only used the manifold and collector from the ebay turbo piping kit. No catalytic converter, a 14" resonator (I think) in the middle, and mandrel bend straight pipe on all of it. Spools by 4krpm due to short Air/Water intercooling piping, in fact the only piping is that 4" piece for the HKS SQV4 BOV.
