    here is my datalog and tune for megasquirt 3 with no expansion and im having trouble getting it to idle right on cold starts and when warmed up.

    mods include - exhintake swap, cut intake, msd coil, long reach plugs, short intake with vaf delete and gm iat(currently getting heat soaked), header and 2 1/4 exhaust. My ecu does not control vics. thanks for any help in advance

    I didnt forget about that tune for you, just havnt got a chance to load it on the car yet. Check my thread about ms 1 tuning for help on the idle.

        okay will check it out...i didnt wanna just crash somebody else thread since im having my own issues...also wondering why sometimes warm up enrichment doesnt turn off

            If your only going to be N/A and wont be putting a turbo on this thing, you can re-adjust your tables to your maximum Kpa. I just did KOEO and got my Kpa reading from the map and set my tables to about 2Kpa above that. Static for me is 94Kpa so my tables max at 95 or higher.

            This should give you more resolution and be able to make everything nice and smooth.

            You spark tables could use a lot more advance, because I am running higher compression on 91 and have some pretty aggresive tables with no hint of ping or knock at all. You cells for idle @720 RPM could be a bit lower and the 500 RPM cell can be about 3 degrees above the 720 cell. This helps if the engine tries to stall, the extra advance will bring it back.

            I would also lower your AFR idle targets to about 13.5 if it doesnt run ok at 14.8. The batch injection seems to like a rich idle. I am off tomorrow and plan on doing a few things to the car including loading my new settings to test out and if they work for me I will put them up for you.

              Thanks cuz it seems like any changes I make just end up making it worse. I'm still new to this and can get overwhelmed sometimes

                I still get that feeling, but the more you read and search threads and then play with the settings, it will start coming to you. I have had a couple times I wanted to get rid of the MS and and go back to stock. Miataturbo.net has a wealth of MS knowledge, far more then you could ever find here.

                  The more I read the more I become confused and I almost went back to stock a few times ...I Stoll drive with ecu and vaf in the car just in case...I'll check out miata turbo and see if it helps later...

                            So ive had my car running for about a week now and just noticed that i have it running with a trigger angle of 10 degrees as opposed to the 70+ degrees from my reasearch..Maybe somebody can chime in on how much of an effect this has. when i switched the trigger back to 75 i couldnt get the car to run right...it wouldnt go past 500rpm with my foot all the way down on gas but yet my wideband would be reading 14afrs....
