No. You can still use the stock 14" wheels.

So the swap does not work with stock base model knuckles. What knuckles do i need? Capri? BF 323GT? What all will make this work?

I have the Brembo 266mm 86 galant rotors and Escort gt 14 22v calipers. Click image for larger version

Correct, BF 323 GT or XR2 knuckles and longer B2000 wheel studs and you are good. If you need a set of knuckles, I have a set that came off of a 60K mile car.

No, the stock 14" wheels still fit.

You can also use MX6 wheel studs. Also another good upgrade to go with this is the 1" master cylinder off a mazda sentia (I believe there are other models that you can get it off), You have to change to a BH booster though and do a little careful bending of the brake lines....

Nice. I posted a link to a YouTube video that shows how to adjust the booster piston rod to the master cylinder. It's easy but you want to make sure you do it so that you don't have it causing brake drag, or a very spongy pedal. I did the adjustment before installing them in the car because it was much easier to do.

Also, did you find it a tight fit to get the brake pads in the caliper? I always have that issue.

Nope. They fit like brake pads should. I cleaned and lubed everything before assembly.

I should do this to my GT

                        1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                        1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Other than the hybrid turbo this is likely the best mod for the 323.

^Agreed. Even if everything else on the car is stock. There is no such thing as too much brakes.

I'll be converting my base 323 over to a BP/hydro F series setup and will probably pull the spindles off an XR2 when i pull the hydro clutch stuff. Looking forward to it.

I'm thinking of selling these to go with xr2 Brakes just for the weight savings. I mainly drag race so having to turn these monsters might be detrimental.
