the lip is from an s10 blazer/jimmy. the front fits fine but the sides are about 6"-7" too short. im exploring more options for a stock look that will hide my intercooler bits

more pics to come, ive just been burnt out dragging myself to my shop after 8+ hours of fixing cars at work. i have my intermediate shaft bracket done. almost done with my fuel pressure regulator bypass that looks like a stock FPR. i mounted my aeromotive adjustable FPR to a bracket off my bell housing to hide it under the throttle body.my fuel pump should be here tomorrow and im switching all my fuel lines to run e85. i finally found a mazda valve cover- not sure if i want to paint it or leave it all beat up looking for that "stock" effect.

this was supposed to be a straight foreward swap and its taking forever its already been a month since it was torn apart. i just wanna go fast already
i know its a piece of crap... but im still faster...

here is my fuel pressure regulator hollow out build. not pictured: i took the fpr to the grinder and slowly took off the outer edge until the 2 halves separated. then i took a punch and tapped out the little metered hole sleeve thingy that was inside the internal post. pictured: i milled the internal post off and welded a piece of 16ga over the top to seal it. i pressure tested it with 140psi of shop air under water. no bubbles! i then welded the top back to give it a stock look. it serves no other purpose.

i have everything coming together but my motivation. i talked to the guys at deatschwerks and am getting a new fuel sock for my new pump. i finally finished welding up my manifold, my box of ebay charge pipe is here. the pipe, the 90* silicon couplers and t-bolt clamps all seem to be good quality, but the straight couplers are only 2" long and that sucks.

New update. Fuel pick up issue has been resolved. Sourced a small sheet of viton to make my E85 friendly sender to tank seal. Replaced all fuel lines with gates barrier hose. Finally making some progress.

Due to some crappy weather this weekend i actually made it to my shop and got some work done. i got the holes cut though the body for the inter cooler piping and made and installed the turbo outlet pipe. its 1.5" at the flange, expands to 1.75" in the elbow, goes to 2" over the exhaust manifold, then into 3". if the weather continues ill be making more progress this week.

                    yay! more updates!!!

biggest one being that im not going to use the all aluminum capri radiator but instead have made an S13 (1991 Nissan 240sx) radiator fit. it was fairly easy to fabricate brackets for. ill make a separate build thread for the radiator install. i finished up and cleaned up my ecu wiring, i have a small wiring harness hanging out of my dash cause i have no idea where im going to be mounting my afr and boost gauges, i made and installed all my charge pipes and have my BOV and IAT bungs in place and secured. nearing the home stretch and getting excited about having the beast on the road.

i finally fired it up and drove it yesterday. the damn water pump leaks but i did make some progress with the exhaust. im so close to having it back on the road.

here's how to fit 3" exhaust under a BF giant 3" jones glass pack is all im running for now. its a bit loud but the tone is amazing.

I really don't think you're meeting your objective of having a "stock appearance" car.

Coil packs on a 30+year old economy import.
                          Obvious welded FMIC pipes.
                          Open air BOV.
                          All metal radiator

It's not a bad job your doing I just don't see how you can even begin to try to pull the "it's factory" card.

He didn't say you're car isn't a sleeper. I think we can all agree that it's a sleeper. He simply said it doesn't look stock under the hood, and I agree with him. The coil packs are a dead giveaway that it's been modified
