Heck yeah it does! I'm very happy with how that airbox worked out. As of now I have a few tweaks to get everything just right but it will be great once I'm done.

I have an opportunity to buy this Mercury Tracer for $350. It needs a front bumper and a steering wheel airbag and a headlamp. I believe I am going to buy it and swap my GTX and kia trans into it along with the 5 speed stuff since it is an automatic car. I know this has been done before so I should be able to as well. It is a 94 but I'm hoping to install my 95 dash and interior. Doesn't the front and rear seats interchange between stationwagons and hatchbacks? I know the panels and trim are different but IIRC the seats will swap just fine.

front seats are exactly the same, rear has those side cushions in place of the trim panels from the 3-door so GT interior won't quite match (if that's something you care about).

wiring from 1.9/ATX to BPT/5MT blowwwwwwwws... but if you're going to take the time to swap dashes, you might as well swap the body harness (that runs along both fenders and behind the dash) while you're in there, it'll save you from having to figure out a bunch of dumb wiring.

Okay well I can see if the interior will clean up. The previous owner had a black dog soooo....yeah. We'll see. My place of work has an extractor in detail dept., maybe I can borrow it for an hour.

I would like to swap the dash and while I'm there I'll be sure to swap over all the harnesses. Didn't someone have a swap thread for this scenario?

I did 1.9/ATX to GTR/5MT, my worklog has all of the wiring you need to do for the swap I think... but I kept the 1.9 body harness and just re-wired stuff, so I dunno how much help it would be.

How much machining was required for the exhaust side housing?

I've been getting quotes for 300+ for just machining with out any other work done and it seems excessive.

No machining was necessary to accommodate the Tbird cold side, they utilize the same CHRA. They are both RHB5 so the install is easy. I sent GPOPSHOP the vj20 CHRA, the Tbird inducer(which is the only difference), tbird exducer(same as vj20), and cold side housing with inlet adapter(I told them where to clock the outlet to the cold side).

Now I spent too much money on my hybrid but it has a warranty and has performed well since I installed it. I spent roughly $700 on a total rebuild/hybrid/balance/with warranty.

If by machining you are referring to the porting of the wastegate orifice then I don't really know. All I know is I asked them to port it and install a new button to accommodate the size of the port.

My worklog has all the wiring details, but I would just swap the harness like Atomic said.

Oh that looks bigger than I recall the T-bird turbo being, which is why I asked.
