Celica GT4 trans in a BF?

Has any one done this/can it be done? I know it can be done with a BPT.

The narrower distance tween the framerails may put the kibosh on that plan. I can't remember what the distances are though. Other than that, anything is possible with proper applications of sweat and money.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Im finally getting to a point to start my conversion. Jay is right, the frame rails are gonna have to be "modified". Im thinking a partial tube frame front end like the Honda guys do.

            Define worth it?lol.

Im looking for 400awhp on pump and 500awhp on e85. I like the looks of a bf and im already in deep. Its gonna be hard to find someone I trust to do the fab but in the end it will make fitting and working on stuff a ton easier.

Ian send me a PM. My dood in Lynden might be able to do the gig, although he is awful busy these days.

Will do, I liked him. Real cool dude and really cool volvo. Im not in a super rush. I have most everything for the swap. need to finish checking fitment for jims rear sub-frame. Unfortunately I'm not fully walking yet and don't have a drivers license because of it! Doh.

What are some other ways to get more power to the ground? Quaife gear set?

Par engineering straight cut gears. But the g series tranny has other flaws.

Like bo said. The transmission has other weak points. So spending all that money on those gear may be for if something else is just gonna break. There is the 1.8 vlsd awd trans but its not too much better really.

What sort of setup are you running? Plan to run?

Right now I have a GT2860 RS, with stock internals and all stock fuel system. I always toyed with the idea of 300 hp at the wheels.
