MS2: Running very lean on hot start up(IAT heat soaking)

As title states, my bp-t is running severely lean for about 30 seconds after returning to the car from a store and starting it up hot. The GM IAT sensor is heat soaking and pulling way too much fuel for MAT correction. I have tried messing with the MAT correction value and non linear table to adjust the lean-ness out of the scenario to no avail, it is still occurring even if I double the table and half the correction value.

SO, I was fooling around with the parts car, 93 LX, that I recently robbed a 1.9L from and I remember the IAT sensor in the LX airbox is the same thread diameter and pitch as the GM IAT sensor. Not only that, but, the sensor is primarily made of plastic unlike the GM IAT which is mostly brass..

My question now is why aren't we using a plastic IAT sensor with our MS2 setups? Is it possible to use this sensor and two wire pig tail I have in my possession in place of the GM IAT sensor?

Attached is a photo of the plastic Ford IAT sensor:

All 3 of my megasquirt powered cars do this. I've learned to live with it, though it is very annoying.

My stock BP26 does this too. Never have figured out why.

The IAT sensor in the VAF may be getting hot.

          Anyone else solve this issue?

Found some info on this Ford sensor, its 0-5v reference and the calibration is as such:

It is the same IAT ford put in a FORD MUSTANG COBRA: 1994-95 INTAKE AIR TEMP.SENSOR F32F-12A697-AA also known as a DY-670.

Now with this information, how do I write up a calibration and burn it to my controller?

if you're running an open element sensor it shouldn't make much difference. this is always going to happen to some degree.

If you're running a closed element sensor, buy an open element one
