GTX Starter Replacement... HELP

Jay, I wish I was joking, but on top of the diff or the diff lock motor? The part that comes out and that I can move freely I assume is the motor?

Is this bolt accessed from the top of motor or below?

I found a 12mm headed bolt removed that. The bolt has a conical point on it. However there is no screw inside of it? The diff lock motor will rotate freely and comes out about 1/2" then stops

it's not you..It is Mazda...latch on to a FSM if you are gonna keep one of these cars. You can download it from fordlaser.com as well.
