So the motor has been out to get the bay painted?

Yea definitely been pulled out I plan to remove the engine and drivetrain again. I will be welding up and shaving the bay also doing a respray thinking of doing gloss black for the bay and possibly a gloss tan with black trim or a mustang bullet green with black trim for the exterior

Next real upgrade I need to do is repair the sunroof I want to do the power glass sunroof out of the escort or protege that will also take car of most of the body work before respray

Got some problems taken care of this week
Started with dropping the tank and cleaning all the dirt out


Also gave the exhaust a paint job


After I reinstalled the tank I handle the fuel pump



The secondary pump looks horrible


I installed a new fuel filter as well so I decided to clean up the injectors

What are your plans for the car? I ask because it looks like you're going for a somewhat stripped-down approach; I could understand ditching the a/c and and p/s, but not so much the mirror. Probably because I do a lot of parallel parking over here, but that's beside the point. Also: Remove that damned door buzzer. Race cars shouldn't have door buzzers.

It's gonna be a part time autocross car the reason why I'm also doing weight reduction its cuz most of my it was all ready broken not the ps but the ac was also I do semi far drive hope the weight reduction helps with mpg plus my light foot we should be good

I installed some fog light. order some new clear corner lights and bumper lights these are class

Got some more repairs taken care of fixed my shifter linkage got a new one updated version from mazda. Also smogged as well now car is running great cv boots ripped on the driver side will be repaid along with the sunroof next
