Mx-3_4evr's fun fact, I've NEVER left Clubprotege

That's right, I couldn't live without a Mazda in my life. After I parted out my MX-3, I bought a 2003 Protege 5 with 65K miles (126K now). It had a beat up chassis, but it has been a great daily driver. It has gone cross country without ever letting me down. It's time to pay for its hard work, so I'm making this thread to share with my good pals here on Clubprotege my Protege 5 revive build

1st Day that I bought it. 65K miles, but pretty beat up. Bad clear coat, rust, broken bumpers, dented fender, bad tires, bad brakes, dirty interior, etc...

Every summer we go camping and take road trips for our daughter to learn and experience more of life I was glad to drive my Protege 5 cross country!

    At bear country lol

    Great Teton National Park!

Bugs love my Yellow car lol

Then I bought an Ebay exhaust... Now it's back to OEM

Both of my cars years ago when someone tried to buy my 280Z and the Z kept saying no I stay with you Antonio hahaha (It kept having random issues as the guy was test driving it. It was back to normal once the guy left lol)

    More camping

Tackling some rust... it didn't work for too long...

And this is how I've spent my summer on days off

    -Antonio

Great, I always enjoy hearing about P5 mods and rebuilds. They're such great cars even in stock form.

                      -New P5 front bumper
                      -Newer front fenders
                      -New rear quarter panels
                      -New rocker panels
                      -Newer headlights
                      -Yakima roof rack
                      -RX-8 wheels
                      -Mazda 6 front calipers
                      -Lowering springs (Thanks FE3-323!)
                      -FS-ZE intake/ Corskport exhaust cam (Thanks FE3-323!)
                      -Intense Teal plasti-dip paintjob

I'll take some pics of this rusty colorful beast later on today!

                        edit:

BTW you'll love the mazda 6 front brakes. if you find a late model 626 grab the rear caliper brackets, rotors, & pads.
You can use the stock p5 rear calipers on the 11" rear rotors if you give the edge of the caliper a minor taper to clearance the pads (takes about 10min/side) but well worth it to retain the functional E-brake.

                        just a tip
