    New Member from Los Angeles

Hello everybody I'm new to this forum and to this chassis. I had a Speed6. Had to get rid of it because I couldn't afford it anymore as I ran into family issues. It was still being financed.

So today I came across a 03.5 MSP Yellow, with a broken diff. Which I thought was a pretty good deal. I paid $1k for it, seeing how it was in decent shape with 125k miles figured I'd give it a shot, so I have to go pick it up in the morning.

I'm still doing research on the broken diff, as Im understanding I should look into getting an LSD from Mfactory, but I'm not sure which one it is exactly (part number?).

As far as myself I'm not totally new I'm probably at an intermediate level as far as being able to work on cars. I've done turbo and clutch and motor swaps normally on my own so I'm pretty comfortable around cars.

Sorry for the long post looking forward to reading up more around here. thanks y'all

Welcome! Don't know the part number, but you want the 28 spline count diff.

*edit* I think this is the part number: MF-TRS-05G28

Before you criticize someone, first try walking a mile in their shoes. Because then you'll be a mile away, and you'll have their shoes...

      Welcome.

I have a friend who knew someone that bought an orange MSP new around 03 and broke --I think it was -- three diffs within a year. He was not kind to it. That's all hearsay, though, and I haven't heard of anyone else having that much trouble with them. Still, Mfactory is probably a good idea.

Enjoy the BJ chassis, and your stay here.
