I've been looking into things I'll need to turbo my escort. She's got the 1.8L BP motor. I plan on pulling it here to clean it up, do a timing belt, and possibly do rods and pistons before hand but I've been looking everywhere for a turbo intake manifold for this thing and can't find one. Exhaust manifold isn't the issue to find it doesn't seem. Also looking if someone could give me a little insight on what all needs to be modified to make a turbo fit under the hood of these cars. To me it doesn't look like there is any room at all for a turbo, but clearly it is doable! New to the forums so I don't know where to look for threads on builds and what not yet. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

figure out your power goals before you do anything. <250whp, stock internals are okay. stock intake manifold is fine, since the GTX one sucks and the GTR one will be hard to find/expensive. modifications to make the turbo fit depend on what turbo manifold, turbo, and downpipe you use. figure that **** out first before you worry about making it fit.sigpic
