Hey guys, it's been a while.
I'm currently driving an '00 LX with a tired, worn, disgusting brown interior. A tour through the far reaches of one of my regular junkyards turned up an '01 ES with complete black interior, so I liberated all of that except the dash.
Here's a comment and a question:
Back when I built 5.0L Mustangs, I figured out how to remove the plastic part of the dash from the dash frame. In other words, the part that was red or gray or black. As I recall it wasn't that difficult, and precluded the need to remove the entire dash assembly and harnesses from the car.
My question is whether anyone has done this on a Protege? I'm going back for the dash and I'm definitely going to use it. I just again would like to avoid removing 2 entire dash assemblies.
Thanks...
