Hey guys and gals. So im on my second engine now with 125,000 mi. All stock. She has begun burning oil (about 1qt per week) and due to the symptoms i beleive its the rings. Im also losing power and my knock sensor is suggesting i have a knock which is what killed my last engine. So before i spin another bearing and toast my crank i wanna rebuild my engine. Im a mechanic and i know the procedures for just about every job on this vehicle. What i need is advice on parts. I have been looking at the master rebuild kit from rock auto and just wandering if these "kits" are worth the time and money. Also any tips or hints on the rebuild would be gladly accepted.
