The technical term for the condition of this evaporator is "NFG"

      Are you swapping to 134a?

Deleting it all together. The evap core was the last item left. The rest of the AC system was long gone. I'm still using the empty evap case to connect the blower motor to the heater core.

Small problem, I could not get injector C/4 to fire. Tore the wiring harness apart and traced the problem to the injector harness connector. The problem was between the terminals, all of the wiring was good. The odd parts was the pins in question were factory, my odd ball micro-pack. "make them work" terminals actually worked. So, I decided to go with weather packs. The 3 wires for the temp sensors are in their own 3-pin connector and the injectors are in a 5-pin, with "power-in" at position "E" and the 4 injectors are wired in order, with inj "A/1" in pin "A" and so on.

It's running again, this time with sequential injection. I seems to idle better and has a quicker throttle response. Not that they were a problem before, but I wouldn't think the change from batch to sequential would make much difference, but it did. I also, bumped up injector "dead time" from the default 1.2 ms to 1.9 ms. On the injector test bench, I did not get flow below 2.2 ms, but that seems like an excessive amount of time (plus, I have the bench set at 2.5 BAR, Not 3). I'll get a low amps probe on the injectors and see when the pintle actually moves on the car.

It may just be your injectors because after doing more research, increasing the pressure actually increases the pulse width it takes to actually open them. I recommend you also use the turbo pressure regulator as well since it will help the injectors function better at lower PW.

Injector dead time is also dependent on voltage so it becomes less as the voltage increases and that test bench works on exactly 12V so they may act different if they are tested at a normal idle voltage say like 13.5v

They most certainty will act different at 13.5 volts. I never did check to see what voltage the bench ran at. It never occurred to me that it would run at only 12V;and that would explain most of my "odd" readings.

Update on the injectors. My flow bench runs on only 11.99 volts. After its out of warranty, I'll need to look in to bumping that up a bit. I put a low amps probe on the injector and the "pintle bump" happens very late, in the 2.3 ms range. However, the car is not happy with dead time set a 1.9 ms. It runs rich and I don't have fuel control. Dropping VE has almost no effect. Went back to the previous tune with dead time set at 1.2 ms. Car is happy again and I can control fuel. So, I'll leave it where it is.

The MX6 is gone and the 323 is now up to bat. Tomorrow night it comes home (hopefully under its own power),65 miles. I still need to change the oil and "restore" the headlight covers, so I'll have light. There are still a lot of small details to fix, but I think I have all of the major bits covered.

maiden voyage complete. 65 miles with out a hitch. Only used about an 1/8 tank of gas to boot. So far so good. Speedo is on the money (per GPS phone app). exhaust is still too loud; not sure what can be done about it. Not much right now, money is tight again. Idle is 1000 rpm; I'll have to knock that down a bit. Fancy auto meter gauges need some work, boost gauge only reads between 10 inHG and 5 psi boost. Oil pressure gauge maxes out at 10 psi. I'm fairly certain the issue is my installation. The brakes are noisey as can be. The car has not moved much and the front rotors look rough. Hopefully a clean up cut will make them happy. Still a ton to do, but it is a runner!

Picture of the 3' exhaust. Even with a glass pack and resonator it's loud. But I haven't been pulled over yet. It might be louder in the car than outside.

I've been off work (scheduled) and the car's been hibernating for the winter. I dropped it off at the local body shop to get a check on the straightness of the "frame". I was concerned because the panel fit is less than ideal, I had 2 folks tell me the car dog-tracked badly (but drove fine) and it appears that at some point in the past the left rear quarter panel had some body work done. I didn't want to spend hours trying to adjust the doors if the body was bent. The body guy finally got into the shop yesterday and the body gets a clean bill of health, it is as straight as straight can be. The issue appears to be the rear trailing arms. I haven't looked at them, but it seems like good enough reason to upgrade to the Pierce's. Next stop: the alignment rack.

For the past 2 weeks, whenever we'd drive past the body shop, I'd say "look at that really cool car"; The response "What, that Camaro!" No respect, even at home; but in their defense it was parked next to to a ZL1
