These are not for my car, but the colour codes and positions match.

I opended it up to a point......there are four poles, and an arm that spins.
I couldn't get further from memory.

              This help any?

I think what I want to know is, what kind of signal is sent to the transistor? (5v max?)
And is there maybe a Hall effect sensor hidden in there?

Doesn't "pop right off". Like YouTube tells me it will, I don't wanta break it!!!

                  Yes it is.
The housing is sold from any good internet store, also repco.
The temperature sensor itself came with the gauge, its for ****s and giggles, and the oil pressure sender a
                  Ready doesn't work correctly.....

it will pop off, sometimes they do get stuck on here. apply some hot air to it & pry from both finger spots it'll eventually pop off.
to me it looks like you need a new one anyway

Used two skinny screwdrivers to get underneath it and pop it off.

                        Underneath we find:

                        Two Hall effect sensors?
The outside one, has 4 even spaced tabs (the tabs are smaller than the spaces I think)
The inside there is one tab.

I could take a guess, but il wait for the proper explanation [emoji41]

                          CAS 4-1 hall effect (magnetic)

the outer represent cylinder firing points. while the inner represents "Home" (TDC) typically related to TDC#1

Thanks man, that's choice! From that I found info on diy auto tune about settings and such, so put that to memory if ever the day comes.

Over the break I went to pic a part and found some goodies,
I went for a new roof trim, as mines busted from someone removing a roof rack. Only on one side and I can't de side to change the other.

Also found a stereo bracket thing, sleeve if you will, thats been missing, so now it can be held in and a face plate put on (will mess with my gauges thow I would Imagen.

And I robbed a shifter assembly from maybe a sp20? It's a 4wd wagon anyway. It seems to be shorted, but also doesn't have the same bends, so will see what I can do with that. Maybe run it while the original is sent out to be modified.

                            photos to follow.

you should be okay running the shorter shifter without the same bends.
