        Rant over

          Hi guys
I've got myself a fuel filter to change. Looks like this

I haven't had much luck finding info on how to change(well, locate) it.
So I removed the back seat, and found not one but two entry points, both with electricals, as shown in the next photos.

So I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do next, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

This weekend I'm hoping to go down to the pickapart and get a replacement IAC if anything to at least learn how to take it off to clean.

Oil change was a mess, removing the oil filter soaked my armpit in oil. Also I over filled it, so I tried to crack the drain plug but that didn't work, and had to recycle all that new oil back into the bloody thing haha.
A least spark plugs and air filter went well.

that fuel filter is located in the engine bay on the firewall...

              Thanks man
So do I have two pumps or something? [emoji12]two pumps for MAD power haha.
Is it, inside another canister? Or, do I have the wrong part?
When I get home I will take a photo of what I think it could be.

Any tips on doing this thing?
              Thanks again

                  no thats your charcoal canister
                  its there, keep looking around.
the 2 pumps are because of the AWD. 1 is a transfer pump that shares fuel between both sides. (nothing to worry about)

So, here we go, this is one way to go about changing your fuel filter, if you so desire, on a BHA6R [emoji41]
You need a new filter, a 10mm spanner/socket, and something to open hose clamp fittings

So there it is, next to that thing, and under that thing.
Remove that thing , in this case it (the carbon canaster) lifted up and out of the way, no need to remove any hoses (but is this right?)

                      10mm screw to undo.
Then two 10mm nuts to undo a little, not right off.

Then realise that it's going to be easier with the intake removed, again, 10mm

Because of the way the hose clip was orientated it was easier to take the hose off on the other side Click image for larger version

Then it was a matter of orientating the filter to get to the clamp.

                      And hey presto, it's out.
Now my replacement one was different, but all good,

So about a month ago, my partner reversed down the drive and sideswiped the Mazda. Because the Toyota Echo was already in such bad shape, I opTed for "liability only" claim, to fix the Mazda only, for no excess.
So I picked up the car last night, after hours.
The key barrel fell into the door, not s good start.
Then I realised, the wrong side had been done.
Soi ring him up, the panel beater, and he asks me why I shows him the wrong side. I tell him I'm pretty sure I didn't......he says he took photos, so I say we can compare the damage to the photo to see what's up......

......now I've really got the feeling that I showed him the wrong side [emoji15]
Cos I rember showing him the bonnet.....but I don't rember walking around the car....oh hell....
Will find out on Monday when I take it back in.

Rung the insurance company, got them to send me a. Copy of my statement, my statement matches the damage, not the work done.
The insurance company also send me the correspondence between the panel beater and themselves, all talks about the "left side"
                              That's the left side above...right?
