I may have ruined my new car :/

I recently bought an MX-3 with a KL-ZE about a month ago. This morning at work, I left the headlights on, and the battery died. Right before me and a coworker tried to push start it, the steering wheel started moving freely without moving the wheels. It did it for about a minute before it started steering again. After about 3 attempts to push start it and failing, I gave up and waited for someone with jumper cables an hour later.

Once I got the car jumped and started, the transmission started acting very weird. The throttle will spike and drop while disengaging the clutch, and throttle control while trying to maintain a certain speed is near impossible. It either wants to accelerate hard or not accelerate at all. haven't had any more issues with the steering since the weird steering issue earlier. Also the steering wheel is out of alignment badly due to the steering thing.

Any ideas on what's going on? Did I just ruin a perfectly good transmission? Does it have anything to do with the steering?

Do you have a longneck intake manifold.
Possibly the throttle leaver isn't adapted and will get stuck behind your master brake cilinder.

The throttle linkage is good. I just test drove it, and it doesn't seem to be an issue with the transmission. When I leave it in neutral and give a small amount of throttle, it will rev to about 1,900 rpm then drop the revs to 1,000 rpm continously. It seems to rev just fine when I give it anything past half throttle.

None of this makes any sense. I can see a slipping pwr steering belt making for odd steering but having the wheel just disconnect? And transmission and steering have nothing to do with each other...

Well I'm a noob if you didn't know already, so I literally have no idea what could be causing any of this. I tried explained everything that happened the best way I can

Well I was going to upload a video to help you guys understand what's going on, but Tapatalk isn't letting me upload it, and my computer isn't connecting to my router.

Here's the video, and of course I messed it up. At the end, I was mentioning when I'm driving it down the road, it either gives me a lot of throttle or no throttle at all, making it very difficult to accelerate at moderate to slow speeds. I fail at life. Hopefully you can still understand what's going on.http://vid1177.photobucket.com/album...802_194416.mp4

Disconnect your TPS and put a factory steering wheel on it.

Yep it's a bad tps. Thanks mate! Will a tps from a KLDE work or do I need a KLZE tps?

Nevermind, it's not the TPS that's causing the issue. I finally found and bought the correct TPS, and still have the same issues with it revving. Best of all, the scumbag at Autozone told me I would be able to return the TPS if it didn't work out. I went back to return it, and his buddy said they can't take returns on electronics. Now I have a $96 paper weight.

Now that I'm finished venting, maybe someone can help me solve this issue. I'm seriously stumped
