    Somebody should rescue this

    Really? A Millen GTX? Dayum...

If it weren't 2000 miles away I'd grab it just for the diffs.

'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Least the cage looks to be done proper.

Still odd they went with a sunroof'd based car.

Well yeah it would need a good looking-over....but if it rly has 3 quaife diffs in useable condition there's yer 12 bills back in spades. Since quaife nor anyone else ever made a front diff for this gearbox, it's either BS, or there's some other gearbox in there... hmmm I do know of at least one other XTRAC BF GTX out there....

Jay, I read that in there are two spare rear diffs with quaife(plus one in the car) which I'd wager is higher chance the an xtrac gearbox. Cause if it has a xtrac gearbox if drive from GA just get the bitch .

Either way, i wish I was closer. This is a potential goldmine of rally parts, or maybe if it really is an ex millen car, a rough diamond.

or it's a total craigslist dud. Either way it should get put on bringatrailer.com

Awww man! Why cant this be closer?? And 6500 miles on it? If I had a few days off and a truck/trailer, it would have a home.

Shipping would likely be under $800 out to the west coast, you'd still be under $2Gs and if it is real, it would likely be worth it. For what it is worth, I have a fried in the area. He knows cars, but is not an expert in rally cars or BF Mazdas. If someone is really serious, let me know, on a deal like this an outside opinion is worth it for piece of mind.

That's David Yein's car he ran back in the gtx heyday in pgt and gp. N I think. So no special diffs of note. Lsd in back most likely.
Still good for the wheels etc.

A buddy posted that to me a couple weeks ago.

"...when it ran Group B that it had over 300HP..."

                    heh.

I've got other purchases in the works right now, otherwise I'd be on this for ice RallyX/timetrials in the winter.

I ended up purchasing this car, is there any way to confirm this was David Yein's car. Just trying to identify what parts and modifications might be here.

Did you have Andy trailer that up for you? Only way I know verification of that is to find logbooks and old pictures and find the right people to talk to....

some really cool pictures of some rally from the 80's.. Yein is mentioned, as well as a bunch of Millen's AWD RX7

                          Yes
How do you know Andy, are you apart of CWSCC?

I forgot to ask Andy to ask the seller who he had purchased the car from. The car was apparently never registered so there is no trail from the Vin#. Millen's did not keep any records of the builds. There was no log book included with the car. The seller had posted a picture of a car with the number 14 on it, and tracking that down thru SCCA race results has produced a few names but nobody has responded so I cannot even confirm if the # 14 is correct. So I am to the point I am just disassembling to car to see if I can identify the parts used.

I happened to pick up another GTX the next week that is running and I hope to get it out to one of Andy's ice events.
