I found one in 2hrs after starting to look. Shipping was a different story since I am in Nova Scotia, but my car is sleeping right now til the salt is gone. They seem pretty easy to find.

How I wonder if it's just where you are? Here in Atl they seem common, now I do have two locals that parts Miata's and Mazmart so maybe I am just a hub for them.

Does anyone else have issues finding them? Maybe I can try and source some for the people who are in need. I know I currently have 3 . 1 on the GTX and two in boxes.

Yes he does respond to Facebook messages rather quickly, and soon I will be advertising on his page to offer injector kits that can be used with his setup.

There may be a similar setup for the KL in the future if there is enough interest.

I have had a conversation with him. responds very quickly. I plan to do this for my 4wd. A local shop specializes in tuning evo's so they will be familiar with the ecu. They actually hold record for worlds fastest stock block evo. Guy is Doing pnp setups for Coils too. Can run any style injector and has 2 step haha.

This guy tunes Evo all day. He just does the escort for fun. You just tell him what plug you want and he will make the harness. Everything is neatly done. He makes 1 with 2 step and 1 without. Depends on the Mitsubishi Ecu you provide.

Roll them eyes guys, but i dont get it. we are dealing with less than 120 cubes f.i. Its not a computer, its a car. Just a waste of effort i think, but there is money to be made proving me wrong.
If im off base here i would like someone to please let me know.

It all depends on your outlook.
consider the fact that you are updating the technology running your engine by nearly 30 years.
BG ecu's were manufactured in the late 80's(possibly first 2 years into the 90's)
also consider you are still maintaining a OEM ecu so reliability is not compromised. nor is tunability (evo's are all over the place)
you are increasing the ECU speed & capability vastly over mazda's ecu & increasing efficiency by multitudes. all with the additional ability to expand your tune/options.
There really are no downsides to this setup in any fashion- and they high dyno numbers are just there as an attractant & to prove its function/use.
Carlos is a good guy - i've met him personally. Im grateful he's offering this system to the community.
In the end it boils down to perspective. If your okay with the current OEM junk then by all means don't' change anything.

I'm running megasquirt. But the Evo Ecu is far more advanced. 2 fuel tables and 2 spark tables. It can do whatever you want it to do. The chipsets inside the Ecu are huge compared to megasquirt. The Evo Ecu makes the ms look like 80's technology. I paid $650 for my ms. Evo Ecu are in the jy all day for $45. You do the math. Nobody is selling you a Evo Ecu it's just a better option.

I agree it's a far better option than megasquirt. I would much rather have a tunable oem ECU than dealing with megasquirt and all its quirks and hiccups.

I have been speaking with Carlos and im in line to get a set up over in australia, i will be running 98 pump fuel, E85 is very hard to find in certain areas over here. but im sure with a nice turbo and decent injectors i could make close to 300HP on pump fuel.

                                pretty excited :-)
