A couple weeks ago, on another forum, someone from Gearmotive posted a link about some transmission case modifications that they're doing to the T50 transmission (found in RWD Corollas/AE86/Starlets etc.).
I found this in-car rally video from a link on their site, and their build seems pretty sturdy:
People started asking about it, the price is not inexpensive, at around US$3k.
"Why the hell do we care about a T50 transmission?" you may ask.
Because of a comment he posted last night:

Now granted, the E153 is already a freakin' stout piece of work, and there's not an overwhelming need to change a good thing.
But I figured I'd at least share the information, since there might be one or two people who could find some use out of it. And it's a good excuse to watch some neat video....
