Cheapo EBay alt is only 65 amp. Couldn't stretch for a higher amp. 😓

Servers went down at work so I went and installed the injectors lol. I taped the connectors to the old harness because they weren't in the best shape. Seems really solid now. They look so out of place with the crusty lookin motor.

Also it appears I ordered a Ford escort gt alt instead of a mazda alt. Oops. I think the thread patterns are different for the bolts cuz mine were giving me issues. Anyone have a definite on that? Or some spares kickin around? Or I think I'll be taking the alt and bolts to the hardware store lol.

electrical-taped injector connectors is... not a good look.

also your bolts probably just suck, try cleaning them up with a die or something- it's not like the EGT uses imperial bolts or some dumb **** like that, there's no reason an EGT alternator wouldn't work on a Mazda motor that I can think of

              Woot woot.

Definitely a ton of stuff left. I'm sure I shot myself in the foot, dropping in the motor before I figured out the fuel return. It seems the return line goes all the way to the tank without any breaks. Do I just cut it?

A couple wires I've got to figure out etc. I've still got to run out to the mx3 and snag the coil. And the throttle cable. And the rest of the dash peices lol.

Cuz it's a stupid Ford line and it's on the wrong side of the intake. I'd love to see a real solution.

Pretty sure the return line is just a rubber line going to the hardline that runs to the tank. Nothing special.

So are the guys running custom fuel rails running lines all the way to the tank? Either way, I put up a WTB in the feoa facebook page so Ill grab an EGT one sooner or later.

I also ordered up some crap for the lower engine support. Bolts/washers/bushings. Mine literally crumbled away when removed lol.

The quick disconnect just attaches to the GT fuel rail? IDK I can't remember this.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I used a stock EGT FPR with the rail I got from Mike and it worked out just fine. also I know they make quick disconnect-to-barb/AN fittings for the Mustang dudes too so you could always use one of those. all I know is that ****ing with plastic fuel lines ****ing sucks

disconnect attaches to the rail on the feed side and to the FPR on the return side. the wagon had AN **** on one side and the braided hose just slipped over the filter with a clamp on the other IIRC

Bumper off. I have to mock up the mx3 intercooler set and see where i need to cut it up so it will fit in the scort bay. I got my bushings from mazda for the lower engine support, new oem goodies are awesome. Got my clutch line from techna fit. Apparently I ordered a red one lol.

Also that plastic/ rubber line I was talking about is for the charcoal canister. But I pulled that out. What do you guys do with the line? Just leave it vta or plug it? I don't want the tank to pressurize.

Egt fuel rail should be here Monday.

All you need is a EGT FPR. I have a protege LX fuel rail in my new wagon, and they just bolted an EGT Regulator on and routed the return line to it.
