Questions about Transmission swap
A while back I put my Protege through the gauntlet and something in the transmission gave out. I remember the mechanic saying something about a pin. Normally I would be able to remember the details, but I was going through some stuff to say the least. Basically I'm at the crossroads of either a transmission swap or scrapping my car.
What cars have a transmission that could swap out? Would a 2001 323 transmission do the trick, OR would a 2002 Protege 5 transmission be an even better choice? Because I do enjoy driving.
There are many questions, but I'm just trying to make sure I'm heading in the right direction for as many possibilities.
