    is this gear oil ok?

What do you think? Is this ok for stuff ok for the gear box, and diffs?

That 140 is way too think, it'd be like a 70weight motor oil.

And I believe all the Lucas synths are GL5's so no they're both trash.

    Also great picture Snowden.

You can run GL5 in the rear differential for sure. That's what GL5 oils are meant for... hypoid gears.

Not sure if the center diff has a separate oil reservoir from the trans or not. If so, you can probably run it there too... that's a hypoid gear also.

The one place you definitely don't want GL5 is inside the transmission itself. I recommend Redline MTL since you're in Canada.

What is the problem with GL5?, it is the suggested oil for the later BG and Kia G-series trans. I could not find a spec for the BF gearboxes, so is it a problem for the BF or the g-series in general (I know a lot of them came from the factory with ATF). I just changed to royal purple 75w-140 in my kia box 323. I know it on the thickside, but I got the stuff dirt cheap. No problems so far and it shifts just fine.
