    3rd brake light

The "brake" light has always been going off fore ever when the brake was applied,I have no 3rd light and tried adding the bulb to the circuit to no avail. To see if it would go out, added the bulb, nope,no worky.
So just swapped out with another "brake checker relay" works!Relay was bad along.
I think I can add a resistor to the third light circuit? Yes?
    Anyone familiar with this?

Lol,I'll rephrase it ,the third light has been deleted.i don't want to have a bulb tucked in my trunk
Lid to keep the "brake"light off on the dash. Would a resistor in place off the bulb fool the checker relay into thinking a bulb is in the circuit?

i imagine a resistor should do the trick.
