1987 323 GLX Estate, and others

    Hi All

I am based in Greater London area UK.
I do like Mazdas cause they are cheap and reliable, most of the time.

I knew I wanted an estate and kept an eye out for one to come up for sale, it didnt take too long and for the price I bought it sight unseen.

Turned out to be a sound investment, it was solid and looked after and only had 40k miles on it.

All it needed was some nice wheels.

But then some baddies stole to transport their haul from a robbing a bunch of house. And they abandoned it in a dodgey estate where the wheels got taken - sad times

It was a few weeks before the police got a report of the abandoned car, so i went out and got me another Mazda - 1988 121 Suntop.

The day I collected the 121 I was told they found my wheelless 323.
But the 121 was so much fun to drive that I decided to keep it. So it got treated to new shoes.

I am not looking for go faster bits but looking for upgrades when the time comes for replacements - suspension, engine.

My go fast, go low, go loud needs are meet by this car

Anyways, looking forward to finding out more about keeping these cars on the road.

    James

I love both of those cars!!

Currently installing a KLG4 into my 323 station wagon

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Very nice! Sorry about them taking your car for the wheels though. I hope you have wheel locks on

Took the estate on it's yearly xmas trip to the Highlands of Scotland. A 1200 mile return trip which it handles with ease. I can do one way, 600 miles, in about 11 hours if traffic does not get bad.
We arrived just as it started to snow and awoke to this.

On my return it got a service - oil filter, air filter, oil, spark plugs, and a rocker cover gasket.
Also change the steering wheel from a 13" to 14" Mountney which is better suited in looks, visibility, and steering feel.
