    New guy,,, protege wont idle?

New to the forums and its great so far!!!

I have a '00 Protege es and I just did a head gasket, has power, runs and drives GREAT but it won't idle at all... earlier it had a rough idle around 800, normal ish, but once I shut it off then tried later, it started then died right away unless I gave it throttle.... it seems to "want" to idle more when it's cold? I've tried replacing the IAC TPS and throttle body, same results... when spraying carb cleaner around while somebody is running it, the rpms get weird when I spray near injector #4... but would 1 leaky injector really cause this?

1 leaky injector can cause a nightmare of idle issues.
have you done a compression test after the headgasket??

No I have not. I can tomorrow though, just the gauge you screw into the plug hole correct?

Of course you should do all cylinders.

Well I think it's a junk head. Coolant overflow jug is bubbling and almost full... I'm not putting any more money into it... anybody wanna buy parts before it gets scrapped? New front brakes, alternator, fuel pump, radiator... could be more but I don't remember.
