Question. Which way should be offset be? The camber plates don't look to be centered in the hole. If I turn them 180, it will be offset the opposite direction.

Also, for the camber setting, which is zero? Is zero the plate centered, or is zero centered by the middle line?

Also, earlier in the post, folks were saying if you take the top bolts out, the mounting plate falls. The purpose of that mounting plate coming loose is for height adjustment. You can then turn the entire unit to adjust the height, lock the bottom collar down and reattach the mounting plate.. #TheThingsYouKnow

you have that plate correctly installed. its offset as a whole to induce extra caster up top.

camber is zero'ed by the line in the middle. set the camber to 0 and adjust it on spot at the alignment shop. the caster increase will warrant a need to visit the alignment shop all in its own.

1 more question. To zero the camber, do I center the 2 bolts, or the indentions by the adjuster?

i don't quite follow, the bolts themselves should have as wide of spacing as possible to net the adjustment you need/require.
The center pillow ball itself has 2 dot indicators that line up with the center line mark on each side correspondingly
              does that help???

The 2 dot indicators were the 2 indentions I was speaking of.

I have a lifetime alignment at at national shop, Firestone, and they are quick to not do an alignment if something is not right, so I am trying to make sure my part is dialed in before I waste 2 hrs of my time.

I put the rear lower tranny mount in backwards, so I have to drop the chassis brace and all that good stuff to flip it around, so hopefully I can start dialing in the height tomorrow.

Other threads (BMW, Ford st, etc) claims the ycw reference series takes about 1k miles to break in, so around there, I will readjust and realign. I am going for 23 1/2 fender height passenger side and 23 3/4 driver side.

~597mm .... a reasonable number for the height. i haven't measured my 323 recently but its not to far short of that range.

Please note that the "dots" on the top mounts are indicators only to help with initial installation (i.e to provide a reference/starting point) and in no way reflect your actual camber. The reason is because camber is affected not only by the top mounts, but also other variables such as ride height etc. Basically, setting the top mount to dead centre does not mean zero camber.

I no way meant that setting that would put my car at zero camber, but more so that the camber plate is zero'd, more or less being in the oem location, so that the alignment shop can properly dial in my suspension. I doubt they will make any adjustments if its not setup right, for liability purposes.

Yeah, just leave them dead centre and that should be fine for them to adjust

I think your confused on the plate being used for height adjustment. The steel plate is additional caster adjustment by allowing the camber plate to slide opposite the camber adjustment.

Im not confused. I said the mounting plate, as in the plate that houses the 4 studs. A few folks were complaining how when the bolt are removed, the mounting plate would fall. Upon my install, it is designed that way for ease of height adjustment. Once that plate is removed and you loosen the lower lock ring, the entire unit rotates to adjust the height without having to remove the entire unit or disconnect from the spindle. I wish the rear was setup this way.

So I just said the steel plate so we are on the same page of which one we are talking about. I highly doubt that was the intention but either way I don’t personally like the plate. When I adjust height I just loosen the lower collar and turn the damper.
